Manufacturing Director

Walker Cole International is searching for a Manufacturing Director to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the North of the UK. As the Manufacturing Director, you will oversee GMP manufacturing activities, drive operational excellence and industry leading management capability.

Your responsibilities as the Manufacturing Director will be:

• Lead a large Production and Packaging groups specialising in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Manage, develop and mentor a team of Production Managers and Operational Leaders.
• Drive site transformation projects including process improvement and lean manufacturing.
• As the Senior Manufacturing Director, you will oversee technology transfers into the site and the adherence to GMP.
• Work closely Quality, Engineering and Formulation Development teams to build team relationships.
• Lead site inspections and external relationships.

The success candidate for the Manufacturing Director will demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of 10+ years GMP manufacturing experience in industry
• Work experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing management / leadership roles.
• Expert understanding of industry best practice within GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Previous work experience of operational excellence roles would be highly desirable.
