Production Team Lead

Walker Cole International is partnering a global pharmaceutical company business in the Northwest of England

As the Production Team Leader, you will lead a high-performing operations team within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment, supporting the introduction of a new therapy and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

As the Production Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading day-to-day operations for a dedicated production team, ensuring safe and efficient execution of the manufacturing schedule.
• Ensuring compliance with cGMP, EHS, and internal quality standards, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
• Supporting tech transfer from Bioprocess Development to full-scale production, ensuring knowledge continuity and process stability.
• Coaching and developing team members to build a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Actively identifying and delivering improvements in safety, quality, and throughput using continuous improvement tools.

To be successful as a Production Team Leader, you will have:

• Experience in a manufacturing leadership role within the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of cGMP and Health & Safety requirements.
• Proven experience managing or supervising teams in a production setting.
• A hands-on, proactive approach to people leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
