Capex Manager FTC

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in the appointment of a Capex Manager on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract. This position will oversee a varied portfolio of capital projects, driving operational excellence and ensuring strong governance across the site.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Capex Manager to coordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of capital projects across a large GMP manufacturing site. You will act as the central point of coordination, ensuring alignment with senior leadership, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities for the Capex Manager

• Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects, ensuring compliance with corporate governance
• Maintain an up-to-date Capex portfolio, including cost, timelines, and reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
• Implement effective governance frameworks, tools, and best practices to support programme delivery

Requirements for the Capex Manager

• Proven experience managing multiple Capex projects over £1m in a regulated environment (GMP preferred)
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Process or similar)
• Strong cost control, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification highly desirable
