Contract QP

Walker Cole International is supporting a UK-based pharmaceutical business in securing a Qualified Person (QP) to focus primarily on batch certification and product release. The company specialises in OTC products and requires an experienced consultant to start immediately in an on-site capacity.

This role is centred on ensuring efficient, compliant release activities with minimal involvement in wider quality improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform QP batch certification and release of OTC and OSD products in line with EU GMP and Annex 16
• Provide oversight of manufacturing, testing and supply documentation to support timely product release
• Act as the primary QP contact for release-related queries and regulatory expectations
• Support inspection readiness and respond to any release-related regulatory or compliance queries
• Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to maintain continuity of supply

Required Experience and Skills

• Eligible QP with strong experience in batch certification and release within the UK
• Proven background releasing OTC and oral solid dose products
• Strong working knowledge of EU GMP and Annex 16 requirements
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, on-site contract role with rapid start

Contract Details

• Location: UK (on-site)
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: 6 months with a possible extension 
• Rate: Negotiable day rate depending on experience
