Interim Senior Quality Engineer

Walker Cole International is supporting a pharmaceutical organisation in the South West in the search for a QA Consultant to support quality operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This role will focus on non-conformance management, manufacturing QA support, and driving continuous improvement across quality systems. Candidates with experience in cell & gene therapy, biotechnology, or sterile environments are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the management, trending, and resolution of deviations and non-conformances.
• Coordinate investigations and oversee CAPA, ensuring effectiveness.
• Review batch documentation and contribute to Product Quality Reports.
• Maintain and improve Quality System documentation (SOPs, policies, records).
• Monitor production and QC data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support GxP compliance, inspection readiness, and delivery of quality training.

Required Experience & Skills

• QA experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing.
• Experience in cell & gene therapy, biologics, or sterile environments highly desirable.
• Strong experience with deviations, batch records, and QMS documentation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with a proactive and analytical approach.
