Project Manager - Biopharma Process Development

Dublin, Ireland | €60,000–€90,000 depending on experience

A leading biopharma process development and manufacturing organisation is expanding fast, recently backed by a multi-million-euro investment and hundreds of new roles as it scales its mission to accelerate the delivery of the world's most exciting medicines. Its Project Managers work shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the biggest names in biopharma and pharma, guiding client projects from early process development right through to full-scale GMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project management process for drug development and manufacturing projects, covering timelines, resourcing, milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans across every phase, ensuring client expectations and regulatory requirements are consistently met
  • Track project progress and adjust plans as needed to protect schedule and budget
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular, transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage client expectations, ensuring milestones and deliverables land to their satisfaction, and resolve concerns quickly and professionally
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams spanning scientists, engineers, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and manufacturing
  • Keep every team member aligned on project goals, timelines and deliverables, providing hands-on leadership where needed
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and work with finance and operations to produce accurate cost estimates and flag savings opportunities
  • Escalate budget deviations promptly and transparently to senior management and clients
  • Identify risks to timeline, budget or quality early, and build proactive mitigation strategies
  • Resolve project challenges as they arise, escalating to senior leadership when necessary, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and best practices to support the organisation's growth
  • Help define, trial and document new service offerings that meet evolving client needs
  • Gather feedback from clients and internal teams post-project to sharpen future project execution

You'll bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years' industry experience in technical or project management
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in drug development, production or manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines and quality assurance processes
  • A track record of managing client relationships and delivering services on time
  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana or similar
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with sound judgement under pressure
  • Confidence leading and motivating cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • A flexible, adaptable mindset, comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a talent for building strong internal relationships
