Walker Cole International is supporting a well-established international Pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Quality Assurance Manager to safeguard GDP compliance across its Benelux distribution network. The business supplies trusted products to consumers across Europe and is investing further in the strength and resilience of its regional quality function.
This is a rare opportunity to hold genuine regulatory accountability early in your career trajectory; stepping into Responsible Person status in the Netherlands and Belgium while working closely with senior leadership to shape how quality is delivered across the region.
Your responsibilities as the Quality Assurance Manager will include:
- Holding formal Responsible Person accountability in the Netherlands and Belgium, keeping distribution activity aligned with EU GDP and local statutory requirements at all times.
- Overseeing quality across warehousing, transport and third-party logistics relationships, with particular attention to temperature-controlled and cold-chain product flows.
- Taking ownership of the regional Quality Management System, tightening processes and procedures so they hold up under scrutiny and support day-to-day operations.
- Managing the full lifecycle of deviations, CAPAs, customer complaints, product returns and recalls, keeping investigations thorough, timely and well documented.
- Serving as the face of Quality when engaging with national health authorities, including preparing the business for inspections and hosting regulators on-site.
- Working cross-functionally with supply chain, commercial and regulatory colleagues to keep pace with business growth without ever loosening the compliance grip.
- Growing a capable, engaged quality team and instilling a culture where doing things right is second nature, not an afterthought.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- A solid track record in quality assurance gained within GDP-regulated pharmaceutical, and wider healthcare distribution settings.
- Either current eligibility to act as RP/Deputy RP under Dutch and Belgian frameworks, or a background that puts you within genuine reach of that accountability.
- Sound command of the regulatory landscape across the Netherlands and Belgium, and confidence navigating relationships with national competent authorities.
- Dutch and English fluency as standard, with working French seen as a distinct advantage given the wider regional remit.
- A pragmatic, risk-aware operating style — equally comfortable setting direction with senior stakeholders and getting into the operational detail when it counts.
