Head of UK Quality

Walker Cole International is exclusively supporting a rapidly growing Pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a Head of UK Quality. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business during an exciting phase of growth and transformation, taking ownership of the UK Quality function while helping shape quality strategy, strengthen compliance and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Your responsibilities as the Head of Quality will include:

• Develop and execute the UK Quality strategy, ensuring the Quality Management System continues to evolve in line with business growth, GMP regulatory requirements and global quality objectives.
• Lead the Quality function, coaching and developing a high-performing team whilst driving a strong culture of quality, accountability and operational excellence across the business.
• Oversee quality governance, document control and SOP management, reviewing existing processes and implementing scalable quality systems to support organisational transformation.
• Act as the senior quality representative for regulatory bodies, certification authorities, customers and external auditors, ensuring the business remains inspection-ready.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Product Development and Commercial teams to improve supplier quality, manage risk and deliver sustainable continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Significant senior Quality leadership experience within a regulated pharmaceuticals or consumer healthcare manufacturing environment.
• A strong background developing and implementing Quality Management Systems, quality governance frameworks and process improvements across complex organisations.
• Experience leading regulatory inspections, supplier and contract manufacturer audits, whilst maintaining compliance with relevant quality standards.
• Significant experience ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations.
• An engaging leadership style with a passion for developing people, embedding quality culture and balancing compliance with commercial and operational objectives.
