Senior Technical Operations Leader (MSAT) | GMP Manufacturing

We are representing growing GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation (Biologics/ATMP) to appoint a senior MSAT leader to provide technical leadership across clinical and commercial manufacturing operations.

This is a key hire for an expanding GMP manufacturing site, offering the opportunity to take ownership of MSAT strategy, lead technology transfer and process validation activities, and drive full process lifecycle management. The role also offers the chance to grow and develop an existing MSAT team, with strong visibility at senior leadership level as the organisation continues to scale.

The Role

• Lead, develop, and scale the MSAT / Manufacturing Science & Technology function within a GMP environment
• Own MSAT strategy across technology transfer, process validation (PPQ), and continued process verification (CPV)
• Drive end-to-end process lifecycle management across clinical and commercial manufacturing
• Oversee tech transfer into GMP manufacturing, including risk assessments, gap analysis, and process characterisation (CQAs/CPPs)
• Provide SME support across deviations, OOS/OOT investigations, and process improvements
• Ensure robust and compliant process performance across manufacturing operations
• Act as technical lead for external partners, client interactions, and stakeholder engagement
• Build, mentor, and expand an existing MSAT team aligned with site growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Process Development

What They’re Looking For

• Leadership experience within MSAT, Technical Operations, or Process Support in GMP manufacturing
• Strong experience across clinical and commercial manufacturing environments
• Expertise in technology transfer, process validation, and lifecycle management
• Experience in a scaling or expanding GMP site
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior level
