Interim Head of Supplier Quality Management

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading consumer health and OTC business in the South East in the appointment of an Interim Head of Supplier Quality.

This is a 3-month, fully on-site contract where you will lead the Supplier Quality function, ensuring robust oversight of suppliers and contract manufacturers while supporting business continuity and regulatory compliance. You will also coach and mentor the Supplier Quality team, driving improvements across supplier performance and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Supplier Quality function and provide strategic quality oversight.
• Manage supplier qualification, approval and ongoing performance.
• Oversee supplier audits, quality agreements and risk management activities.
• Support investigations, CAPA and supplier-related quality issues.
• Coach, mentor and develop the Supplier Quality team.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations.
• Drive continuous improvement across supplier quality processes.
• Support inspection readiness and regulatory compliance.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience leading Supplier Quality within the pharmaceutical, consumer health or OTC industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP and supplier quality management.
• Experience managing supplier audits, quality agreements and external manufacturing partners.
• Demonstrable leadership and team development experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, fully on-site contract role.
