QA Operations Consultant

Walker Cole International is currently partnered with a Pharmaceutical company. To support ongoing manufacturing and quality operations, we are searching for a QA Operations Consultant based in the South West of England for an initial 6-month contract.

The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Shop Floor Quality Assurance
Provide QA oversight across manufacturing operations, ensuring GMP compliance through routine shop floor presence, real-time decision making, batch record review, line clearance activities, and deviation support.

Quality Systems & Compliance
Support the effective implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) processes, including deviations, CAPAs, change controls, investigations, and risk assessments while ensuring compliance with MHRA, EU GMP, and internal quality standards.

Manufacturing Operations Support
Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Control teams to provide quality oversight during routine production activities, process improvements, technology transfers, and operational projects.

Continuous Improvement & Inspection Readiness
Drive quality and operational improvements through GMP coaching, root cause analysis, and the identification of process efficiencies while maintaining a constant state of audit and inspection readiness.

Contract details:

• Start date: ASAP

• 5 days per week

• £350–450 per day - inside or outside IR35

• Duration of project: 6 months (with potential extension)

• Location: South West, United Kingdom
