Interim Quality Manager

Summary

Walker Cole are supporting a Midlands-based manufacturing business, operating across a range of sectors, in their search for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to provide day-to-day oversight of their Quality function on an interim basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day oversight of the Quality function, ensuring smooth and effective operation
• Ensure quality systems, policies and procedures are followed and maintained in good order
• Manage change control, document control and record-keeping in line with company quality standards
• Follow up on customer complaints and returns, ensuring timely investigation and resolution
• Prepare for and support external audits and inspections
• Review and update SOPs and quality documentation to reflect best practice
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Senior Quality role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory best practice
• Experience preparing for and hosting external audits/inspections
• Demonstrable experience in QMS improvement and remediation
• Strong background in complaints handling, CAPA, change control and supplier management
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, on-site contract role
