C&Q Lead

Walker Cole International is supporting an exciting life sciences project in Europe in the appointment of a C&Q Engineer / Lead on a long-term contract basis.

This opportunity will play a key role in supporting commissioning and qualification activities across critical process utilities, with a strong focus on FAT execution, system boundary definition, and end-to-end C&Q planning within a GMP-regulated environment.

The role will focus on PW and WFI systems, vendor coordination, and the development of robust C&Q strategies and documentation as the project progresses through delivery and execution phases.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide FAT support for process utilities including PW & WFI loop skids, PW & WFI generation systems, and storage vessels.
• Migrate URS documentation into eVal and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Generate validation documentation including STPs, CLIAs, DQAs, and FAT wrappers.
• Participate in FAT execution activities and provide on-site/off-site support as required.
• Review vendor FAT protocols before and after execution to ensure compliance and completeness.Participate in scope clarification workshops for turnover and C&Q activities.
• Develop deliverables matrices for CAI scope and review third-party deliverables.
• Review third-party test plans and assess suitability against project and regulatory requirements.
• Create C&Q Plans for process systems.
• Finalise cost and schedule estimates aligned with the overall C&Q programme.

Required experience and skills:

• Demonstrated experience delivering Commissioning & Qualification activities within GMP-regulated life sciences environments.
• 8–10+ years’ experience in C&Q, ideally with exposure to process utilities.
• Strong hands-on experience with PW & WFI systems and FAT execution.
• Proven ability to develop C&Q strategies, plans, and lifecycle documentation.
• Experience reviewing and managing vendor and third-party deliverables.
• Strong understanding of system boundary definition, turnover processes, and qualification frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, planning, and organisational skills.
