QMS Consultant

Walker Cole International is supporting an Ireland-based life sciences organisation in the implementation of a new electronic Quality Management System (eQMS). As part of this programme, we are recruiting an experienced QMS Consultant to support the successful rollout and integration of the system within a regulated environment.

This role will support the organisation in strengthening its Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the implementation process. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting system configuration, process alignment, and the migration of quality documentation into the new eQMS.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and rollout of a new electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).

• Review and align existing quality processes, procedures, and documentation with the new system framework.

• Assist with the migration of quality documentation, including SOPs, policies, and records, into the eQMS.

• Ensure QMS processes remain compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. GxP).

• Collaborate with quality, regulatory, and operational teams to support system configuration and process integration.

• Provide guidance on best practices for QMS structure, document control, CAPA, change control, and training workflows.

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and system adoption where required.

• Assist in the development of documentation, templates, and standards to support the ongoing use of the eQMS.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience working within Quality Management Systems in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.

• Demonstrable experience supporting eQMS implementation or optimisation projects.

• Strong understanding of GxP regulations and quality system requirements.

• Experience working with quality processes such as document control, CAPA, deviation management, change control, and training management.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across quality, regulatory, and operations teams.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support system adoption across the organisation.
