Walker Cole International is supporting an innovative biopharmaceutical company specialising in the production and distribution of sterile and microbiological regulated therapeutic products. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Manager to lead all microbiological laboratory operations and ensure full GLP/ GMP compliance across the site.

As a Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing the QC Microbiology laboratory, overseeing microbiological testing programs such as sterility testing, water testing, microbial identification, and environmental monitoring to GMP standards.
• Ensuring contamination prevention, data integrity, aseptic control, maintaining compliance with GMP, GLP, GxP and MHRA/ FDA expectations.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing laboratory quality systems including SOPs, QMS, LIMS and CAPA/ change control processes, ensuring inspection readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Leading, training and mentoring microbiology staff, supporting technical investigations (OOS, OOT, deviations) and fostering high performance through coaching and development.

The successful Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Manager will have:

• Degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing or supervising a QC or Microbiology laboratory within a GMP/ GLP regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP/GDP/GLP, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and GxP documentation.
