Senior Category Manager

Walker Cole International is currently searching for a Senior Category Manager for a global pharmaceutical organisation.

As the Senior Category Manager, you will lead procurement activities across external manufacturing and logistics partners, ensuring value delivery, supplier excellence, and continuity of supply across the network. Responsibilities:

• Manage strategic and operational procurement across CMO and 3PL partner networks.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance against contractual KPIs.
• Deliver year-on-year savings and identify long-term cost optimisation opportunities.
• Implement supplier relationship and risk management frameworks to safeguard supply continuity.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across operations, quality, and commercial teams to align on business priorities.

Your profile:

• Degree qualified; MCIPS and/or MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement or external supply management within the pharmaceutical, life sciences or FMCG sector.
• Skilled in supplier relationship management, category management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong track record of delivering savings and driving operational excellence through partnerships.
• Confident communicator, able to build trust and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
