Walker Cole International is supporting a leading life sciences manufacturer in the recruitment of a Production / Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Production / Operations Manager to lead and optimise manufacturing operations within a GMP-regulated environment. This role will oversee multi-site production activities across the United Kingdom and Ireland, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality manufacturing performance.
Role Overview
The Production / Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing oversight, driving operational excellence, quality compliance, and continuous improvement across site operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet output, quality, and delivery targets

Ensure full compliance with GMP, ISO, and internal quality systems

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise costs

Manage, mentor, and develop production teams to build high-performing operational capability

Monitor KPIs, budgets, and operational performance metrics, reporting into senior leadership

Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain inspection readiness and operational excellence
Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience in a Production or Operations leadership role within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, nutraceutical, or related sector)

Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards

Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive performance improvements

Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capability

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Working pattern:
Full-time, on-site presence required across UK and Ireland sites
